At Hkidsf Books, we want you to be completely satisfied with your experience. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds and returns are available for products and services purchased from us.

We aim to process all refund requests fairly and promptly in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws in the United States.

2. Physical Books

2.1 Return Period

You may return physical books within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the books are in their original condition.

2.2 Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a return, books must be:

• Unused and in the same condition as received
• In original packaging where applicable
• Accompanied by proof of purchase

We cannot accept returns of books that show signs of use, damage, or wear beyond normal inspection.

2.3 Return Process

To initiate a return:

2. We will provide return instructions and a return authorization number
3. Package the item securely with the return authorization number
4. Ship the item to the address provided

2.4 Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.

3. Digital Products

Due to the nature of digital products, refunds for digital books or downloadable content are generally not available once the product has been accessed or downloaded.

Exceptions may be made in cases where:

• The digital product is defective or cannot be accessed
• The product description was materially inaccurate
• The product was charged to your account in error

Please contact us within 7 days of purchase if you believe you qualify for a digital product refund.

4. Curated Reading Path Service

4.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Curated Reading Path consultation and recommendations, you may request a refund within 7 days of receiving your personalized reading path document.

4.2 Refund Conditions

To qualify for a refund:

• You must provide specific feedback about why the service did not meet your expectations
• The request must be made within 7 days of receiving your reading path
• You must not have utilized any follow-up support services

4.3 Partial Refunds

If you have utilized follow-up support or additional consultation time, we may offer a partial refund based on the services already provided.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective book, please contact us immediately with:

• Your order number
• Description of the damage or defect
• Photos of the damaged item (if possible)

We will arrange for a replacement or provide a full refund, including return shipping costs, for damaged or defective items.

6. Wrong Item Received

If you receive the wrong book or item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will:

• Send you the correct item at no additional cost
• Provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item
• Offer a full refund if the correct item is not available

7. Processing Refunds

7.1 Timeframe

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

7.2 Notification

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

7.3 Bank Processing Time

After we process your refund, please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account. This typically takes 3-5 business days but may vary depending on your financial institution.

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refund:

• Books that have been used, marked, or damaged by the customer
• Books returned more than 30 days after delivery
• Digital products that have been accessed or downloaded (except as noted above)
• Special order or custom items
• Gift cards or promotional vouchers

9. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item for a different book, please:

1. Return the original item for a refund following our return process
2. Place a new order for the desired item

This ensures faster processing and allows you to select any item currently available.

10. Cancellations

10.1 Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order before it has been shipped. To cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] with your order number.

If your order has already been shipped, you will need to follow our return process once you receive the item.

10.2 Service Cancellations

For the Curated Reading Path service, you may cancel your consultation up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the consultation may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

11. Your Legal Rights

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to return faulty goods for a full refund and may be entitled to additional remedies for defective products or services.
